World's Most Dangerous Dogs

Today I am going to show you the Most Dangerous Dogs in the World. Dogs have long been considered man’s best friend, but not all breeds are created equal when it comes to safety. While most dogs are friendly and loving companions, some breeds have a reputation for being aggressive and dangerous. In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at the most dangerous dogs in the world and what makes them so hazardous.

It's crucial to keep in mind that these dogs can make wonderfully devoted and loving pets if they receive the right training and socialization. To protect personal safety and the safety of people around them, it is equally crucial to be aware of any potential risks and adopt the appropriate safety measures.

Most Dangerous Dogs in the World:

10. Dalmatian (Weight: 40-70 lbs.)

This type stands out for its independence, superior memory, intelligence, and survival instincts. Dalmatians may exhibit aggressive behavior against people.

9. Presa Canario ( Weight: 80-115 lbs.)

It is common knowledge that this guard dog's attacks can result in the killing of any target. This dog's fearlessness, immense power, and capacity to halt men are some of its most notable characteristics.

8. Boxer (Weight: 50-70 lbs.)

Dogs of the boxer breed are renowned for their vigor, devotion, and fun. However, Boxers can develop into aggressive and deadly animals if they are not properly socialized and educated. If they attack, they have a powerful bite that can result in serious harm.

These dogs are sharp-witted, playful, and exuberant. The medium- to large-sized Boxer dog breed originated in Germany. It has short hair. Being a breed of independent individuals, they are not the easiest to teach. Boxers are also often not aggressive people.

7. Alaskan Malamutes (Weight: 75-100 lbs.)

Large dogs called Alaskan Malamutes were formerly bred to pull sleds and other heavy loads. They are amiable and wonderful with kids, but if they are not properly socialized and taught, they can become violent. Alaskan Malamutes can pose a hazard to smaller animals due to their intense prey drive.

This breed needs a lot of exercise to be happy because when they get bored, they rebel. Their overall defining traits are their vitality and activity.

6. Huskies (Weight: 44-66 lbs.)

Dogs of the Siberian Huskie breed are renowned for their toughness and stamina. They tend to be friendly and good with kids, but if they are not properly socialized and trained, they might develop aggressive behavior. Siberian Huskies are notorious escape artists and have a strong prey drive, making them a danger to smaller animals.

Even though they are intelligent and energetic, this breed is not thought to make an excellent guard dog. It results from its sympathetic temperament and personality traits. It should be noted, nevertheless, that fifteen fatal incidents between 1979 and 1997 were brought on by huskies.

5. Chow Chow (Weight: 50-70 lbs.)

The huge dog breed known as the Chow Chow originated in China. They are independent and distant and, if improperly educated and socialized, they can become hostile against people and other animals. Attacks from chow chows can result in significant harm due to their vicious bite.

The Chow Chow appears independent and remote, but they need constant care. They can develop into violent dogs if poorly bred. It has been determined that the Chow Chow is a primitive breed that existed before contemporary breeds appeared in the 19th century.

4. Doberman Pinschers (Weight: 65-90 lbs.)

Doberman Pinschers are renowned for their intelligence, devotion, and protectiveness, but if they are not properly socialized and taught, they can also become aggressive. Dobermans are territorial and were bred as guard dogs, thus they could be dangerous to people and other animals.

Famous qualities of Doberman Pinschers include vigilance, intelligence, and loyalty. Consequently, they are regarded as one of the top breeds of guard dogs. The dog rarely attacks without being provoked or when its family is in danger.

3. German Shepherds (Weight: 70-100 lbs.)

Due to their intelligence, loyalty, and protective attitude, German Shepherds are frequently utilized as police and military dogs. German Shepherds, however, can develop into aggressive and deadly dogs if they are not properly socialized and taught. They may pose a threat to both people and other animals since they have a strong desire to hunt and are sometimes territorial.

This kind of dog is renowned for being intelligent and watchful. German Shepherds were used as police dogs by local authorities, including the police K-9 squad, since they demonstrated courage and bravery. They appear to be extremely harmful.

2. Rottweilers (Weight: 100-130 lbs.)

Large, powerful Rottweilers were initially bred as cattle drovers. They are confident and protective dogs, but if they are not properly socialized and trained, their size and strength can make them deadly. Children in particular have been known to be attacked by Rottweilers, and their intense prey drive can make them vulnerable to hazardous interactions with other animals.

These canines are extremely violent because of their strong sense of territorial instinct. Guard dogs frequently utilize Rottweilers. The Rottweiler is a sturdy working breed developed from the mastiffs of the Roman legions and is quite strong.

 1. Pit Bulls (Weight: 55-65 lbs.)

Perhaps the most notorious of all deadly canines, the Pit Bull Terrier is renowned for its powerful teeth and violent behavior. Although Pit Bulls were initially bred for the purpose of bull-baiting, they are now frequently utilized as guard dogs and in unauthorized dog fighting. Although they can be fiercely devoted to their owners, pit bulls can sometimes develop aggressive tendencies toward outsiders and other animals.

One of the boldest and most fearless breeds of dogs, pitbulls typically take on any foe. They engage in dog fights as a result. It is well known that this dog breed is capable of even mangling a human to death by locking its jaws onto the victim till it passes away.

For every dog bite mortality in the US, there are around 670 hospital admissions, 16,000 ER visits, 21,000 other doctor appointments (office and clinic visits), and 187,000 bites that are not medically treated. Emergency rooms classified 46.1% (almost half) of dog bite injuries as "urgent-emergent" injuries. Dog bites are the second most common cause of pediatric emergency room visits.

That information is out of date and equates to around 60,000 bites per fatality. According to a recent report, a dog bites a US citizen every 75 seconds.

Top 10 Animal Workaholics

ants-workaholicsThis may surprise you, but ants have more of a purpose than putting a damper on your picnic. These industrious animals have workloads that may put your own to shame. In fact, many creatures work long days and nights just to survive in the wild, and if you think your 9-to-5 job is rough, a lot of these animals perform tasks that are very similar to jobs people do -- though they may have completely different reasons for doing them and unique tools for getting the jobs done. Why do some birds, for example, work as interior decorators? And how do beavers construct giant lodges by chewing on tree bark? Top Ten Pets [INFOGRAPHIC]

Dogs, cats, turtles, wolves, you name it, someone has had it as a pet. But do you know what the top ten pets are? As you might have guessed dogs are ranked number one closely followed by cats. Personally, I consider dogs to be the best pet, cats, to put it bluntly, just aren’t as fun. A cat in my opinion is only cute when it is a kitten, where a dog simply becomes distinguished as they age.

petsCurrently I own fish, a turtle, and a dog, I have to say out of all of them my dog is the clear winner. While some of the pets are just fun to sit back and observe, a dog allows for interaction, play, relaxation. On a bright sunny day is there anything better than going for a walk with your dog? Perhaps taking a tennis ball and playing a game of fetch? Name one other pet that you can easily do that with, that’s right, you can’t think of one can you?

Seven of the Biggest Beasts of All Time

biggest-frog-picture We all know about the size of dinosaurs, of course, but how about a rodent the size of a bull, a sea scorpion bigger than a man, a frog as large as a beach ball, a penguin the size of a small adult human, a 1,000-pound ground-sloth-like marsupial, and a shark that may have grown longer than 50 feet and weighed up to 30 times more than the largest modern great white?

All these titans existed, although not in the same place or period.

10 Giant Prehistoric Cats

Before man became a hunter and made his way to the top of the food chain, the Felidae, or cats, were the most successful, powerful predators in most of the world. Even today, big cats such as tigers, lions, jaguars and leopards keep causing admiration and fear, but these magnificent beasts are dwarfed by some of their extinct relatives.

Top 7 Biggest Dinosaurs

dinosaurs Identifying the biggest dinosaurs that ever lived isn't as easy a task as you might think: sure, these giant beasts left giant fossils, but it's very rare to unearth a complete skeleton (tiny, bite-sized dinosaurs tend to fossilize all at once, but lumbering giants like Argentinosaurus can often only be identified by a single, massive neckbone). Here are the 7 winners, according to the current state of paleontological research.

10 Most Poisonous Animals in the World

It is really hard to tell which animal is the most poisonous in the world. The one that has the most toxic chemicals? The one that kills the biggest amount of people a year? Or maybe the one with the biggest amount of poison?

First of all, I have to admit that the title is a bit incorrect, because there is a difference between poisonous and venomous animals. A poisonous animal carries harmful chemicals called toxins primarily used for self defense. Therefore venomous animals deliver their toxins by stinging, stabbing, or biting. So poisonous animals are passive killers, while venomous animals are active killers.

Nevertheless, theory aside, they are all really dangerous. So look really closely at each photo, cause next time you meet them can be the last thing you ever see.

1. Box Jellyfish

01-most-poisonous-animals-in-the-world-king-box-jellyfish2

The top prize for “The World Most Venomous Animal,” would go to the Box Jellyfish. It has caused at least 5,567 recorded deaths since 1954. Their venom is among the most deadly in the world. It’s toxins attack the heart, nervous system, and skin cells. And the worst part of it is that jelly box venom is so overpoweringly painful, that human victims go in shock, drown or die of heart failure before even reaching shore. Survivors experience pain weeks after the contact with box jellies.

You have virtually no chance to survive the venomous sting, unless treated immediately. After a sting, vinegar should be applied for a minimum of 30 seconds. Vinegar has acetic acid, which disables the box jelly’s nematocysts that have not yet discharged into the bloodstream (though it will not alleviate the pain). Wearing panty hose while swimming is also a good prevention measure since it can prevent jellies from being able to harm your legs.

Jelly box can be found in the waters around Asia and Australia.

2. King Cobra

king_cobra

The King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) is the world’s longest venomous snake – growing up to 5.6 m (18.5 ft) in length. Ophiophagus, literally means “snake-eater” as it eats other snakes. One single bite of this deadly snake can easily kill a human. This snake is even capable of killing a full-grown Asian Elephant within 3 hours if the larger animal is bitten in a vulnerable area such as the trunk.

It’s venom is not as toxic as other venomous snakes, but King Cobra is capable of injecting 5 times more venom than black mamba and can result in mortality up to 5 times faster than that of the black mamba. It is quite widespread, ranging across South and South-east Asia, living in dense highland forests.

3. Marbled Cone Snail

03-most-poisonous-animals-in-the-world-marbled-cone-snail

This little beautiful looking Marbled Cone snail can be as deadly as any other animal on this list. One drop of its venom is so powerful that it can kill more than 20 humans. If you ever happen to be in warm salt water environment (where these snails are often found) and see it, don’t even think of picking it up. Of course, the true purpose of its venom is to catch its prey.

Symptoms of a cone snail sting can start immediately or can be delayed in onset for days. It results in intense pain, swelling, numbness and tingling. Severe cases involve muscle paralysis, vision changes and breathing failure. There is no antivenom. However, only about 30 human deaths have been recorded from cone snail envenomation.

4. Blue-Ringed Octopus

04-most-poisonous-animals-in-the-world-blue-ringed-octopus

The Blue-Ringed Octopus is very small, only the size of a golf ball, but its venom is so powerful that can kill a human. Actually it carries enough poison to kill 26 adult humans within minutes, and there is no antidote. They are currently recognized as one of the world’s most venomous animals.

Its painless bite may seem harmless, but the deadly neurotoxins begin working immediately resulting in muscular weakness, numbness, followed by a cessation and breathing and ultimately death.

They can be found in tide pools in the Pacific Ocean, from Japan to Australia.

5. Death Stalker Scorpion

Death Stalker Scorpion

Contrarily to the popular belief most of the scorpions are relatively harmless to humans as stings produce only local effects (pain, numbness or swelling). However, the Death Starker Scorpion is highly dangerous species because its venom is a powerful cocktail of neurotoxins which causes an intense and unbearable pain, then fever, followed by coma, convulsions, paralysis and death. Fortunately, while a sting from this scorpion is extremely painful, it would be unlikely to kill a healthy, adult human. Young children, the old, or infirm (with a heart condition) are at the biggest risk.

Death stalker scorpions are spread in North Africa and Middle East.

6. Stonefish

06-most-poisonous-animals-in-the-world-stonefish

Maybe Stonefish would never win a beauty contest, but it would definitely win the top prize for being “The World Most Venomous Fish”. Its venom causes such a severe pain that the victims of its sting want the affected limb to be amputated. It is described as the worst pain known to man. It is accompanied with possible shock, paralysis, and tissue death. If not given medical attention within a couple of hours It can be fatal to humans.

Stonefish stores its toxins in gruesome-looking spines that are designed to hurt would-be predators.

Stonefish mostly live above the tropic of Capricorn, often found in the shallow tropical marine waters of the Pacific and Indian oceans, ranging from the Red Sea to the Queensland Great Barrier Reef.

7. The Brazilian wandering spider

The Brazilian wandering spider

The Brazilian Wandering Spider (Phoneutria) or banana spider appears in the Guinness Book of World Records 2007 for the most venomous spider and is the spider responsible for most human deaths.

This spider is believed to have the most potent neurotoxic venom of any living spider. Only 0.006mg (0.00000021oz) is sufficient to kill a mouse. They are also so dangerous because of their wandering nature. They often hide during daytime in highly populated areas inside houses, clothes, boots, and cars.

Its venomous bite causes not only intense pain, the venom of the spider can also cause priapism – uncomfortable erections lasting for many hours that lead to impotence.

8. Inland Taipan

Inland Taipan

The prize for “The World’s Most Venomous Snake” goes to the Inland Taipan of Australia. Just a single bite from this snake contains enough venom to kill 100 human adults or an army of 250,000 mice. Its venom is at least 200 – 400 times more toxic than a common cobra. The Inland Taiwan’s extremely neurotoxic venom can kill an adult human in as little as 45 minutes. Fortunately this snake is very shy and there have been no documented human fatalities (all known bites were treated with antivenin).

9. Poison Dart Frog

Poison Dart Frog

If you ever happen to be running through the rain forests somewhere in Central or South America, do not ever pick up beautiful and colorful frogs – it can be the Poison Dart Frog. This frog is probably the most poisonous animal on earth. The 2 inch long (5cm) golden poison dart frog has enough venom to kill 10 adult humans or 20,000 mice. Only 2 micrograms of this lethal toxin (the amount that fits on the head of a pin) is capable of killing a human or other large mammal. They are called “dart frogs” because indigenous Amerindians’ use of their toxic secretions to poison the tips of their blow-darts. Poison dart frogs keep their poison in their skins and will sicken or kill anybody who touches or eats it.

10. Puffer Fish

10-most-poisonous-animals-in-the-world-puffer-fish

Puffer Fish are the second most poisonous vertebrate on earth (the first one is golden dart Frog). The meat of some species is a delicacy in both Japan (as fugu) and Korea (as bok-uh) but the problem is that the skin and certain organs of many puffer fish are very poisonous to humans.

This puffy fish produce rapid and violent death..Puffer’s poisoning causes deadening of the tongue and lips, dizziness, vomiting, rapid heart rate, difficulty breathing, and muscle paralysis. Victims die from suffocation as diaphragm muscles are paralyzed. Most of the victims die after four to 24 hours. There is no known antidote, Most deaths from fugu happen when untrained people catch and prepare the fish.

Statistics show that there were 20 to 44 incidents of fugu poisoning per year between 1996 and 2006 in all of Japan and up to six incidents per year led to death. Since Fugu’s poison can cause near instantaneous death, only licensed chefs are allowed to prepare it.

World's Fastest Muscle (In the tongue of a salamander)

World's Fastest Muscle (In the tongue of a salamander) 01 We all know chameleons, especially for some of their performances, like the ability of changing color or for their special hunting technique.

While the ability of changing color is not so singular in the animal world (many fishes, cephalopods like octopuses and squids, or even other lizards have it), their technique of projecting an enormously long sticky tongue is regarded by many as very specific.

mouse3_resize This mouse danced with death when it tucked itself into the lunch of a hungry leopard. Like a little child and seemingly unaware of the beast towering over it, the mischievous rodent grabbed at scraps of meat thrown into the African Leopard's enclosure. But instead of pouncing on the tiny intruder, the 12-year-old leopard, called Sheena, appeared to be afraid of the daring mouse and kept her distance. At one stage she tried to nudge the mouse away with her nose, but the determined little guy carried on chewing away until he was full.
